Denis PHILIPPE holds a phd in law, founded the lawfirm Philippe & Partners and is currently lawyer registered with the bar associations of Brussels and Luxemburg. He is occasional professor at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL), at the graduate school « ICHEC" and at the University of Paris X Nanterre.
His academic duties cover obligation law, English and German contract law, public and private contract law, banking law and international contract law. He is appointed as arbitrator with CEPANI and CCI on a regular basis. He benefits from more than 30 years professional experience, in civil and commercial law and, more specifically, in drafting, reviewing and negotiating national and international contracts, as in transactions that include financing aspects. He carries out his professional activities in various languages (including French, Dutch, English, German and Italian).
He is the author of various academic books in these areas of knowledge, including a thesis on the change of circumstances in contract law and articles relating to privatizations. He is currently chief redactor of the legal review DAOR, member of various redaction committees and member of the academic commission of businesslawtv. He has been regularly appointed as an expert by the European Union.
